This means that everyone should have a goal in life because if you set your mind for a goal you won't know where you will go it's like going to college classes and than taking classes but you don't know what for. Having an idea of what you want to do in life is always important you might be young and saying i have years that i have til i have to worry about what my life is going to be like well everything you do in the past will always reflect in the future lets say you were a bad child in the 5th grade and you got into a fight and than you got into trouble for it that fight will always stay in your record and if you once want to be a good lawyer or someone important and out there and you try to get into a good college and they look in your records and they see you got into a lot of trouble no one is going to want to take a troublemaker in the school.
